Humboldt has a wide variety of special events and festivals that happen throughout the year. Many of these events are hosted in partnership with local, non-profit organizations, including the following City-organized events:
in motion Family Day Weekend
Working together, Humboldt in motion partners with the City and community groups to offer a variety of sporting and recreational activities to encourage residents to get up, get out and get active during the winter! Hosted on the third Monday in February each year.
Kids Summer Fun Camp
This fun, City-supported program offers exciting and educational experiences for kids during the summer months. Running in one-week intervals over July and August, program leaders work hard to ensure this day camp is full of engaging activities for kids aged 5-11. 2016 information is available below!

For kids aged 12 and over, the Kids Summer Fun Camp also offers a Jr. Leadership Program that helps participants gain valuable teaching and leadership experience while helping with the overall operations of the camp.

Three winners will have their photo displayed in a six-week exhibit with the Humboldt & District Gallery - so make sure they are high quality - after which they will receive their framed print! In addition, each winner will receive a Humboldt-themed prize package to acknowledge their creative efforts in capturing our vibrant community.
Winners may also be featured in City of Humboldt marketing materials throughout the year, such as, the Community Guide, website, social media... and more!
Fireworks, music, family-friendly entertainment and cake mark Humboldt's Canada Day celebrations in Water Ridge Park on July 1 of each year.
Note: The City of Humboldt is now looking for local talent who wants to perform at the annual Canada Day Celebrations at Water Ridge Park on July 1st. We are looking for a wide array of entertainers including: singers, musicians, dancers, magicians, and other stage performers. We are also looking for facepainters and balloon artists. City of Humboldt Halloween Party
Each year, the City hosts an indoor Halloween Party for kids of all ages with music, a haunted house, activities and games. Treat bags are handed out to all children in attendance!
Volunteer Appreciation BBQ
Volunteers are an essential resource in Humboldt and this event is one way to thank those who give up their valuable time to help others in our community. Hosted annually in September.

Humboldt's annual Awards Recognition Night acknowledges those in our community who have received distinction at a provincial or national level in any sport, cultural or recreational discipline. Teams and individuals are publicly recognized during a regular Humboldt Broncos hockey game in January of each year.

Kids Recreational Hockey
The City offers the opportunity for kids to participate in an organized recreational hockey program. It is focused on fun, participation and meeting new friends in a non-competitive atmosphere.
The program is available for kids ages 5 to 13 years old. Children are divided into two age groups: Junior (5-9) and Senior (10-13). Under supervision and instruction, each group will be on the ice for one hour each Sunday (except for Humboldt Bronco home games and other special event bookings).
Ice Time: Sundays - October 19, 2014 to March 29, 2015 - Registration Fee: $120 - Junior 6:15 - 7:15pm - Senior 7:15 - 8:15pm

Summer Sport Camps
Offered to youth between the ages of 5-11 years of age, the City's Summer Sport Camps are for kids who want to try different sports in a fun and engaging environment. Previous sports have included synchronized swimming, disc golf, volleyball, cheerleading, water polo and diving! Qualified instruction is provided by sport representatives.
