Humboldt has a wide variety of special events and festivals that happen throughout the year. Many of these events are hosted in partnership with local, non-profit organizations, including the following City-organized events:
Kids Recreational Hockey
The City offers the opportunity for kids to participate in an organized recreational hockey program. It is focused on fun, participation and meeting new friends in a non-competitive atmosphere.
The program is available for kids ages 5 to 13 years old. Children are divided into two age groups: Junior (5-9) and Senior (10-13). Under supervision and instruction, each group will be on the ice for one hour each Sunday (except for Humboldt Bronco home games and other special event bookings). Participants are expected to wear full equipment including skates, helmet and padding.
Ice Time: Sundays - October 16, 2016 to March 26, 2017
Registration Fee: $120 +GST per child (A discount will be offered for each subsequent child enrolled in the program.) Registration form can be found here.

in motion Family Day Weekend
Working together, Humboldt in motion partners with the City and community groups to offer a variety of sporting and recreational activities to encourage residents to get up, get out and get active during the winter! Hosted on the third Monday in February each year.
Kids Summer Fun Camp
This fun, City-supported program offers exciting and educational experiences for kids during the summer months. Running in one-week intervals over July and August, program leaders work hard to ensure this day camp is full of engaging activities for kids aged 5-11.

In addition, each winner will receive a Humboldt-themed prize package to acknowledge their creative efforts in capturing our vibrant community.
Winners may also be featured in City of Humboldt marketing materials throughout the year, such as, the Community Guide, website, social media ... and more!
