Event: Needle Felting Workshop
Description:

An introduction to needle felting with artist Heike Fink. Learn how to transform loose wool into a solid piece of felt! Have fun while meeting new friends! Make a beautiful brooch and a simple 3D animal to take home! All supplies are provided.

Farming Saline Soils Workshop
Event: Farming Saline Soils Workshop
Description:

The Carrot River Valley Watershed Association is pleased to announce the Farming Saline Soils Workshop! The workshop will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Annaheim on February 28, 2018, at the Community Hall.

There are multiple compelling presentations at this strategic workshop: 

- Victoria Nemeth (Ministry of Agriculture) is giving an overview of soil salinity and its effects on annual cropping. 

-Larry Durand (FieldGood Agronomics) will give us the economic and agronomic considerations of farming saline land. 

-Nadia Mori (Ministry of Agriculture) will teach us how to heal saline soils using forages. 

-Cory Willness (CropPro) is presenting on his company’s field surveys for variable rate fertilization and drainage. 

The workshop is $20 and includes a coffee/snack break and lunch.
